Subscription as we know rings the bell of apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime in our minds but is that it? There is much more diversity in the subscription models. Ranging from services to products, the idea of companies to use the strategy of subscription has been successful in the recent past and now more and more corporates are leveraging their gains through the process. Every other publication or company is now moving towards a subscription based model or starting their own Paywall.

What happened when Adobe adopted this business model? A Netflix monthly subscription is equivalent to 2 cinema and that’s worth a deal. But will you be willing to spend an equivalent sum of money for a product subscription like Adobe? That’s where the distinction arises.

Corporates today focus more on retention of customers than acquisition through their subscription model. Thereby, they lease out their product on subscription rather than selling it directly. Will you be willing to subscribe to a product over a service model or prefer both at the same time?
